to which he replied " I was being nosey...
He said it, not you. Seriously, I can't believe the nerve of some people.

I never had a customer go thru my desk, as I never had a desk job that involved customers, but I found out from one of my coworkers that another coworker went looking for something I had been working on, when I was out sick the one day.

He said he embarrassed the hell out of him by loudly telling him to "Get your hands out of that man's drawers!"

Yes, the double-meaning was intentional, and he told me he turned about 10 shades of red.

Grrr...there's probably nothing legally that can be levelled against Mr Nosy but it would be wonderful if next time he comes in, you or a doctor/specialist could give him a big telling off, preferably in front of the other patients

Treat him like an absolute idiot and give him the big parent-to-child dressing down he deserves!
I've often thought that too many adults get away with bad behaviour because no one is prepared to give them the lecture they deserve.

Although, when I read the title of this thread, I had a mental image of some idiot who hired a bobcat tractor type thing and actually DUG UNDER the street, emerging through the floor in your office! "Wha....how the blazes did I get here?"

It would be more fun to stick him with the biggest baddest needle ever invented (as part of his treatment of course)

I'm not sure there isn't some sore of legal ramification for him.

The HIPAA Act is really frickin strict. As far as I know, it would cover the entire place of employment, the op-er and Mr. Nosey. >_< So, it'd suck because it wasn't the OP-er's fault.

Wait, so he went up to a busy person's desk, grabbed a random file from it, and simply assumed it was his?

What, the only claims you work on are his? You're his personal exclusive agent now?

... Cool. Call him up and demand a raise ;p
