In my area, the adult ticket price is $6, and has not been raised in 20 years. Food prices are not high either.

The only time I go to the movies is with the free tickets I get with my Airmiles. It's a 2 person, 2 drinks, one popcorn combo. Since it takes me forever and a day to get enough miles, it's a rare treat. I usually watch movies at home with homemade snacks and no need to return the DVD to the store.
