    Apparently, such insurance does exist and people have taken out such policies.

        The people selling such insurance should set up a booth at Sputnikfest. They'd make a killing.

          Interesting. You don't need to have suffered any financial damages to claim. Normally insurance is for something that costs money to replace or removes/reduces your ability to make money, or that can be fixed with money.
