    please verify this with an attorney before acting on this information

    for gun laws and laws involving lethal force find a gun forum and confirm with a lawyer, if you're wrong you're a murderer, and I doubt that any of you want that.

    general self defense laws also have way too much out there to post

    state laws are most important for knives(I've looked into it)

      Packing.org used to be a great resource for laws and articles written by highly respected experts on the subject of knives and non-lethal weapons, but it seems to have gone bye-bye sometime in december

      I believe the links above are good alternatives, but as the poster suggested, check with a lawyer or the state legislature before acting on what's there.

          most cops will not answer the questions for liability reasons, as the grunt cops could be mistaken about an obscure law here and there that doesn't pop up very often
