I am sad he's gone, but I have to admit I cringed watching him on New Years Eve the past few years.

Even though I know why he went on the air like that--to show everybody he could still do it.

Another legend gone from the scene. Damn I feel old.

HELL I rememberf watching AB in the mid 60's on Saturdays in B&W.

Heck I though they had finally perfected the GHOST in the Shell type full body prostectics and he was the final test subject

The man did so much for TV and society in general.

I remember one comedian joking about him saying that ... "I want to live forever. I want to be Dick Clark. .... Dick Clark went to a fortune teller and found out in his past life he was ... Dick Clark."

I don't think I ever got to see him doing the countdown before his stroke. Think he had it right about the time I got here, so all I ever got to see was... well, sadness. Yet, even then, he was on the TV every midnight for the past few years. He'll be missed.

Tonight on Bandstand, a special edition broadcast from the Pearly Gates Amphitheatre, our guests are Richie Valens, Elvis, J.P. Richardson, and Janis Joplin.

I flipped on NYRE a couple years ago and was saddened and slightly horrified.
                      I'm bringing disdain back...with a vengeance.

Oh, and your tool box called...you got out again.
