  • Thoughts and prayers needed

Found out last night - my mother died yesterday (83 years old). I'll be offline for a while, since she lived on the other side of the country. Don't know how long my father will last - after all, when he was born, people still thought The War would be over by Christmas.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.

Thanks everyone for your concern. As for why my dad probably doesn't have much longer, if you dredge up memories of your High School history classes you'll probably be able to figure out WHICH war was expected to be over by Christmas (Manfred von Richthofen was NOT a household name, and had not yet learned to fly, when my father was born).

I can offer hugs, and an ear if you want. Travel safe, we will keep the forums safe till you return.
