Sounded like he was trying to say, "It's okay that I knocked your father down and almost trampled him to death - it was an accident." Yeah, try telling that to the 11 kids who were trampled to death "by accident" at the Who concert in Cincinatti (sp?) back in the 80's. That was an accident, too - but eleven families lost their children that day.

Accident or not, he is not excused for being an ass. It's actually kind of sad that he didn't press charges -- because his case would have been thrown out, and your dad's charges WOULD have stuck! (I guess he realized that when his bluff was called.)

that's a bit of an oxymoron since the stampede itself can be the cause of the hurt

same. i call it cluster-phobia cos when i'm grumpy i freakin HATE having anyone else touch me, hate being in a clusterfuck of people. the list of people i can tolerate touching me in that state is very small, and gets smaller as my tension rises.

A bit of a small update here. My father didn't even get a bruise, I thought for sure he would.

I hate Black Friday...told them anything they want I can get online for just about as cheap. No more black friday shopping.
