This incident happened at dispatch while I was signing the log to get the keys for the Visitor parking booth.

The phone inside dispatch rings. The guy working at the front desk answers it. This is what I heard him tell the person at the other end who had pressed the call button on the call box...

"If the gate is up, then you can go through."

Hmm...I wonder what that person told him to cause him to say that.
