I know what you mean the bank charges us to deposit mutilated money and our other deposits. Thats why people get handed crappy money in the casino or it comes out of the ticket machines we are trying to save on fees and half of it ends up in our drawers again.

I have to admit, I've argued for a partial refund for an item I'd purchased...but that's because it got marked down TWICE while I was still in the STORE doing a little more shopping after paying. And they wouldn't give me the refund!

I have seen a bank bill when I worked in a cash office for pence per transaction of each type. Believe there was a line for effectively getting petty cash out. Tiny amount but was there....

Ugh, the people who want huge amounts of specific bills or change drive me crazy. I had a woman one time who got $100 cash back and asked for it all in 5's. That would have been all of my 5's, and it would have taken half an hour to get more (we had one CSM, on the other side of the store, who was busy counting down registers). I gave her $40 and advised her to go to a bank next time. I believe she said something to the effect of "I'm never coming here again after such rude service!" *Sigh* promises promises.

Had another man ask for 5 rolls of quarters. Buddy, even I can't get 5 rolls of quarters from the cash office, if I ask for more than one they tell me to stop being greedy.

There is one and only one place where you can reasonably expect to be able to "make change" in the exact way you like - a BANK. Anywhere else, you take what they give you.
