This woman was very rude. I never encountered such a reaction, most people were just oblivious to the idea that their coins, bills, credit cards, greeting cards and coupons might be sucked down or damaged if placed on the belt. In 3 years I somehow never lost money other than a couple small coins, and only one time did a greeting card get crunched. Yet I had countless near misses. A few folks understood, but most were still oblivious.
