If you want to read a book where the pages literally burst into flame - read Anne Rice's "The Taming of Sleeping Beauty" series (she writes it as A.N. Roquelaure)

It makes Shades of Grey look like Dr Seuss

my personal preference is Kushiel's Dart but yeah anne rice, even as herself can be pretty raunchy
