  • A prayers asked/request thread

Recently there's been a lot of threads coming up of the type 'Prayers wanted for X/my friend Z is ill in hospital/Y's relative has died'. Most of them are in off-topic and occasionally they get lost-especially if they have a generic title like 'Sad news' or 'I didn't want to have to share this but.'
What do people think of having a specific thread for these sort of posts so they can be gathered together. That means they won't get lost in the thread and people can check the updates on how X,Y or Z is doing without taking over the whole Off topic forum?

This, to me, is a magnificent idea. I mean, under the "off topic" forums we do have a "Life Advice" forum, so I don't see what it would hurt to add a "Prayers and Good Thoughts" forum.

Hmm, one thread for all such posts? Not as keen as I could be as it could mean chaos with many people posting on different things at the same time.

      Happy to hear opinions, though.

Perhaps a subforum of OT? One that also encompasses things such as "R.I.P. ____" threads and the like? (with the standard CS caveats/rules reminder)

My opinionation is that a separate thread would get ignored.
