Out of Warranty means "I can't help"

I do technical support for a certain configuration of PCs that one may not use on one's thighs despite the name from a certain brand. Said computers have 1 year warranties unless you buy more.
My job is fairly cut and dry when it comes to out of warranty computers. Out of Warranty is Out of warranty. I can't offer technical help for free if it's out of warranty. You have to pay for it. Sucks? Maybe. But that's why the warranties are there.

The other night, I get a call. This person has a computer that is 4 years old. Never got an extended warranty. It wasn't connecting to their router wirelessly. I inform them of their status and what I needed to help them.

They.
Flip.
Their.
SHT!!

Condensing the ensuing rant down, they called us crooks, me a crook and our computers crap. They demanded my help for free and I refused.

ME: I'm sorry, but as I explained, I can only provide help on this computer if you pay for the service. Otherwise, we do offer troubleshooting guides on our website that you can use for free.
SC: Oh yeah?I MY WIRELESS CARD ISN'T WORKING, JACKASS!!! HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO GET ON THE INTERNET??
ME: You said you have access to the router, right?
SC: Yeah...
ME: Plug an ethernet cable from the router to the port on the back.
SC: ....you just think you're so fking smart, don't you?

I need to find a computer shop to work at. Just a little store that would let me build and fix computers.
