    I only use Google Translate for getting the gist of something. I've dealt with enough exchange students and being a military brat, that I know it will butcher syntax and words. But it's good enough for me to get an idea of what's going on.

    Bing Translate, on the other hand, is good for comedy relief only, because I get completely lost when I try using it.
    Hah, you think Bing is bad, you've apparently never tried using Babelfish (originally made by Altavista) - that thing was downright atrocious and an insult to its namesake.

      What he meant to say: I have been very embarrassed lately.
      What he actually said: I have been very pregnant lately

      embarrassed = avergonzado
      pregnant = embarazada
      I swear this is like the #1 thing that non-native Spanish speakers do. I grew up in southern California and if I had a nickel for every person that thought "embarazada" was "embarrassed"...

        Just for shits and giggles, I ran the O Tannenbaum through Google translate and in English the song is:

        O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree ,
        How loyal are your leaves !
        You're green not only in the summertime ,
        No, even in winter when it snows .
        O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree ,
        How loyal are your leaves!

        O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree ,
        I like you very much!
        How often has not at Christmastime
        A tree from you me delighted !
        O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree ,
        I like you very much!

        O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree ,
        Your dress wants to teach me something :
        The hope and resistance
        Is courage and strength at any time!
        O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree ,
        Your dress wants to teach me something!

        Now I am curious what the dress wants to teach.....

          Last one sounds like a song about a feminist pine tree >_>
