So it was this one league last day, and they're playing for fun... it doesn't count, it's free, and they're playing No Tap.
No Tap means that if you get 9 pins on your first ball, it gives you the tenth one for free, and it counts as a strike.
So this lady bowls, gets 9 pins... the mahine gives her the strike, but the pinsetter didn't reset properly.
Ok, this is minor, it happens sometimes.
She buzzes the intercom:
B = B%$^$
Me =
B: "I hit 9 pins but it won't reset, the pins still there.
Me: "Just push the button on the front of the ball return."
B: "I Need it reset!"
Me: "Push the button on the ball return, it's at the front, it's grey and it's marked RESET."
5 seconds later she buzzes again with the SAME thing, I tell her she STILL has to push the reset button.
She then comes up to the counter 10 seconds later, and starts bitching at me again.
B: <repeat previous statement>
Me: "You have to push the reset button."
B: "I DID!"
Me: "You pushed it and nothing happened?"
B: "I pushed it like 10 times!"
Me: "and nothing happened?"
B: "NO!!"
*Ok fine, this might be an actual problem.*
Me: "Ok, I'll call the mechanic about it!"
B: "CAN'T YOU JUST RESET IT!"
Me: "Not from up here, I have to get the mechanic."
So I call the mechanic, he comes up front and guess what... HE PUSHES THE RESET BUTTON! and *GASP*... IT WORKED!
Just goes to show, that you should LISTEN to the guy who knows more than you do!
