He's HERE!!!

My first Grandson, Joshua Michael Benjamin, was born on April 1st. He is 5 weeks premature, but weighed in at 6 lbs 9 ozs and was 20 inches long (and no, there is no chance the date was wrong. He really is premature!)

Mom and baby are doing fine, as is my son, the proud father, myself and my husband, the proud grandparents, and my other son, the proud uncle.

Also, I took at look at my own birth records (yes, my mum saved the charts from our bassinets when we were born). I was 7lb 10oz when I was born and yes, I was due. Apparently I decided to be stubborn though and refused to turn around for mum, so she had to have a C-section

Awwww! I hope baby and mom get to go home soon. In my experience they usually want to keep them a while when a baby is premature.

Thank you everyone! Mom is out but Joshua is still in the hospital, still has problems regulating temp and he has jaundice, both normal for a premie, but we hope that he will go home next week.

LOL I did the EXACT same thing! My mom still has minor remnants of the scar... Whoops... Mom says she took it as a sign I was going to be a total stubborn pain in the ass for years to come... Man, was that ever true....
