I've had one hearing impaired customer through my line before. When they told me that (by pointing to their ear after I gave my greeting), I made sure to enunciate clearly so, if they were a lip-reader, they'd be able to understand me. I also made sure to count the money out a bit slower where they could see it, and when I told them their total, I made sure to point at the screen that showed it. I'm useless with sign language. I can do the alphabet, but slowly, and some scattered words.
