    Trekkers reach South Pole

    Eric Larsen is tryying to be the first person to reach the South Pole, North Pole, and Everest (the "third pole") in one year.

    He just finished the S pole leg. Awesome

    I love adventures like this, esp when they involve Everest (I am an Everest junkie). Will look foward to reading about his next trek.

    EDIT: Just mentioning the accomplishement....as his reasons for this adventure is Fracting territory

    ok was I the only person [icturing a group of star trek fans in the middle of the arctic??

      Yeah, that's why I clicked in too. I was like, "hm, what is Star Trek significant at the South Pole? Did they go dressed in uniforms or something?"

        South Pole is for Star Trek fans....North Pole for Star Wars.
