  • In Loving Memory of Bear...

You were more than a dog, you were a friend, companion, family member that was taken from us too soon. R.I.P. Bear, we love you and miss you.

What an adorable dog! He reminds me of a canine version of our kitty Pluto, who is all black and very fuzzy.

I'm so sorry for your loss. *offers hugs and kitty snuggles*

Thanks guys. He was my first dog and I (along with SO and MIL) raised since he was a 7 week old puppy. People always complimented us on his looks (though not always with behavior lol). My MIL never forgot the day she first saw him as a itty bitty black fuzzball puppy springing around in the yard. I remember when SO and I first took him home and we were showing him off to our friends, he was nipping at SO's ankle and drew some blood with his puppy teeth and SO laughed at it. He was a great dog. Feisty, sweet and a helluva watch dog. When SO came home from the store, he saw Bear laying in the driveway (he was intact, no contusions, nothing and he may have snuck out of the house while SO wasn't looking), he tried everything to revive Bear, but he was already gone. We buried him this morning under the bamboo tree, put a couple stepping stones on his grave and some gardenias. He was wrapped up in a couple of our pillow cases since he loved laying on our bed (particularly the pillows) and buried with his bumble ball toy.
