Default Short and Confusing

Why do these things happen to me when there's no witnesses?

SC: Had a name tage for a store in the other mall.
Me: I have a pink shirt on today.

SC: *is looking at my display of new games. It is not labelled, so his question is normal* Is this game all you've got in your new stuff?

Me: The whole display sir. We get new stuff on Tuesday usually.

SC: *then moves on to my wall of PS3 games* You know, I left a message last week (with who? I was all alone last week and none of my lunch hour replacements mentionned what you're about to tell me) about some of your games being on the Playstation Network for *amount* of points.

Me: Oh, okay.

SC: *leans on my counter and repeats what he just said, adding a couple of game names. These games are old, so it doesn't surprise me if they're on the PSNet now*

Me: Oh, we know, it's normal. *smiles, returns to filling up the order*

SC: *freezes for about 2 seconds, then storms out looking pissed/offended/catbuttface while saying* Well, THANK YOU for your GREAT customer service! *dripping in sarcasm*

Me: .........what just happened?

It only occured to me later that he was trying to get discounts on the older games because the point download-only equivalent was cheaper.

I hate when customers assume I can read their mind to see what they really want.

Talk about passive aggressive. He was trying to get you to OFFER it, that way it would justify him in his twisted mind that he didn't beg or ask for discounts.

I was actually in a local game store hanging around chatting with the people working when I kid tried that same exact thing. He also went "Oh, is there any way to check the PSNetwork here?"

Employee: Nope.

DepecheModeFan: You can't read if there's nothing to read...

Panacea: Nope, he works in the other mall across the bridge. At the store my current buyer quit in a rage. This guy never rages. Tells you a LOT about the store.

Which, in turn, should probably tell you a lot about the employees of said store.

SCs they demand that we learn to read their minds, but then when I display my telekinetic powers they call me a "Demon" and tell me to "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!"""

Honestly, just no pleasing them is there?

Oh joy, a lady just called asking for a guy who worked here for 3 months last year then doubted my ability to do the world's simplest task.

It's related: Why do they expect us to read minds yet not to perform menial tasks?

Well, if you *could* read minds, would you bother with menial tasks? ... Oh, that's not what you meant, is it?
