I forgot my work phone at home yesterday. I really need this in case my boss needs to get a hold of me. I work as a floater for a mailroom/facilities company. So I go to different sites every day. Sometimes the boss calls me in the morning to tell me not to go to site A but to go to site B instead.
Yesterday, I was working at a site 1 hour from home. I asked the manager there at 9:20 if I could go home and get my phone. Surprisingly, he said "sure!" So, I took 45 mins to drive home, 45 mins to drive back, and 10 minutes to find the phone. Turns out it had fallen out of my hand yesterday morning and sat in the pouring rain on the driveway for 2.5 hours! It works, more or less. Can you say I like my job
