    In a previous career I flew a lot. On one occasion I asked a flight attendant the first of the "do not ask" questions, but I think it was excusable.

    I had got to the airport early. Apparently between when I checked in and boarding, they had made an equipment change. My seat was on the left side (fewer rows than right side due to the galley), and it was for a row 2 higher than the last row on that side of the plane. Wound up (for the first time) in an overwing exit seat. Love the legroom.

    On another flight (serious redeye), there were maybe a couple dozen passengers. Would have been a light load for the plane they normally used on that leg (MD-80), but this time the plane was a DC-10. My guess is that they needed to reposition the larger plane for a flight the next morning.
    Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.
