  • Line between helping a member and advertising

Trying to be pro-active here. The scenario: one thread is by a member who is medically disqualified from driving. They're worried that they won't be able to get to work, since there's a strong possibility of the bus route to their workplace being discontinued. I suggested an e-bike as a possibility, and mentioned (without contact info) that a friend of mine sells parts.

IF THE MEMBER ASKS, would it be OK to post contact info in-thread, or would it be PM-only? I understand that if the member doesn't ask, posting the info would be considered advertising.
Any fool can piss on the floor. It takes a talented SC to shit on the ceiling.

Doing it via PM would be fine. ^_^
