Our ATM machine had run out of paper and nobody was getting their receipts. I can understand how frustrating that is so our manager called the company and was trying to get them to come down and fix it.
Now, this woman came into my window and was pretty upset.
SC: I ran my card and no receipt or money came out!
Me: Unfortunately the machine is out of paper right now but if you give me your card and ID I can see if the transaction was approved.
SC: OMG are you going to charge me again!?
Me: No... this is the only way to process what you already did on the atm machine.
CW (jumps in as SV is still trying to help people with the paper issue) *points to my customer* That woman was COMPLANING about the paper.
She used the word "complain" quite a few times. I was
SC: Excuse me!?
Me: Oh uh, nothing....
I printed off the paper which looks like a check. We have to have something for our records at the end of the night too. And it makes a receipt for them.
Me: I need you to blah blah blah... (The procedure)
SC: OMG why did it charge me 12.99?!
Me: Its seems either you've gone over your daily limit or you ran it as a credit card.
SC: But I didn't see the fee!
Me: The transaction couldn't have gone through unless you hit accept on the machine. So you did say okay to it...
SC: Forget it! Just cancel it. Can I write a check?
Me: (thinking ooh crap lady, if you're impatient now... Checks take like five-six mins) Well, sure do you have a players card?
SC: Yes.
Me: Okay, then there's a small application involved....
SC: Forget it. Just give me my damned money.
ME: Okay...
SC: I don't like YOU people!!
Keep in mind we're both the same race, so its not a race issue. I count it out monotoned and lost my cheer because I really didn't like her.
SC: I hate this casino!
ME: Um, would you like to talk to my supervisor?
SC: yes.
I disappear into the back and grab my SV. The awesome one that doesn't take crap from anybody and explain the situation.
SV goes out there and shows concern and what not.
SC: Blank casino only charges me 4.99!
SV: Well then they're over charging you because if you use a pin number with us no matter the amount its only 3.
SC: Then why didn't it charge m three this time?
SV: Its the way you ran YOUR card.
SC: Just forget it. I don't want to deal with you people anymore. I won't come here ever again.
SV: Okay. Have a nice day.
There was nothing to say that would've made her happy so... GOODBYE.
Funny thing is, I checked her play a few hours later and she stayed and played for quite awhile.
