  • News Alert: South Florida men are not allowed to shop without their wives!

It's been a while since I've posted, but experiences lately have told me to get back into the swing of things, thanks to shopping in stores like Kohl's and JCPenney.

In the past two weeks, when I've visited Kohl's, I've seen encounters like this:

Husband: I think this shirt would look great!
Nagging Wife: Oh, no! That's way too bright and will draw too much attention!
H: Well, this one is nice!
NW: Definitely not! Too dull, and I'm not going to have you seen in a grey shirt! (Then, NW went to another rack and rifled through it without neatening it back up)
NW: Here! This thing is something you'll like. (Right, although he didn't pick it out)
H: All right. Where's the dressing room?
NW: Not yet! You still have to get pants!

After all of this happened, NW not only had to follow H to the men's dressing room, she then went into the room with him to make sure everything fit properly! How do I know this? Because the dressing room was next to the one I was in, and I could hear only her running her mouth. There was also no one in the hallway when I came out. I can't imagine what some women would do if a man decided to loiter around their dressing rooms.

I always shop by myself and it's great! I don't need my wife's permission to do it either.

Hyacinth, wasn't it? It may as well have been.
Customers should always be served . . . to the nearest great white.

I'd have raised cain with store management over her being in the dressing room.

My Mom had told me of a story about when she was a waitress in the 70s about a couple:

She goes to a table to get their orders.. Husband and Wife.. Wife Orders, then she goes to the husband:

H: I want to to have the Ribs.
W: You don't want that, it gives you heartburn.
H: Ok, I want to have the steak.
W: oh.. you don't want that, to much cholesterol.
H: Ok, then I want to have the Chili.
w: You don't want that, gives you gas.
H: (Puts down menu, and looks at wife) Ok, then. WHAT do I want?
Just sliding down the razor blade of life.

I've witnessed similar things myself being the wife often replies loud enough for everyone else to hear.
