I got the same glares for stopping at an accident I witnessed because if it wasn't for me, she'd have gotten away with causing the accident because it really did look like the other person's fault. She hated my presence.

Most cities/towns you can pay your ticket online now. I got a parking ticket a few years ago. Not in the town I live in and right on the back of the ticket for 'payment options'
