You might look into seeing if there is a way to keep the house due to the disability. I don't know how the house situation is set up, but I seem to recall that a lot of payment systems have insurance built in for such situations.

Plus, you might want to at least consult with someone over the job; they may be trying to weasel out of possible monies due you as well. That doesn't mean you'd have to go after them for it if you didn't deem it worth it, but it might be wise to know whether the option existed.

Going on disability does sound like the right thing at this time in your life.

Got some bad news..apparently I was denied in december..but since I was not aware of this..it is now too late to file an appeal. Which means have to file new claim..and 'clock' will reset..so all that back pay just poof up in smoke. Good news is new lawyer is handling it all from this point on. So..don't have to worry so much about it.

Ugggghh...how extremely frustrating I'm sorry to hear that Myt, but I'm glad the lawyer is going to take care of it.

I wanted to say "At the end of the bricks." ie when the bricks in the road turned to normal sidewalk. I could think of cobblestone..but the simple word 'brick' took me 20 minutes to think of. It's things like that, that frustrate me.
That happens to me, as well. I'll know exactly what I want to say, but be unable to think of the word.

My closest family is learning to understand what I mean in those situations.

I should have applied for food stamps 2 years ago when I moved here. It was pride (and my parents laying on the bullshit that food stamps is for lower class people... I grew up upper middle class) that delayed me applying.
Even now, barely paying the bills, I get much less then I probably should (any more commentary would enter Fratching).

If it helps I have this problem, its annoying as all heck too, that I understand. Just try to keep your mind active by reading and writing, don't give up, you aren't alone. I can't think of words I use often, and it's a daily problem, I end up staring off in space and say 'argh braiinnnns' cause if I can't think of the stupid word cause my mind went completely blank so I might as well make myself smile a little. Or I jump up and down annoyed or if it's really bad I get upset, like when I forget what I was going to say all together and can't think of what I had said previously.
(fyi it took me 20 minutes to write this because I couldn't think up blank, which is kind of important to what I was saying, stupid words!)

Since I heard neither way, was told that meant bronchitis. Which is much preferred.

Now I may have to go to the ER sometime soon. Every morning I have something a bit interesting happening..may be just dehydration. It's hard to explain. I wake to a headache and the whole right side of my vision is .. well it's like everything is 'white'...or 'yellow'..or I am not sure how to explain it. Once I get me some water in me it seems to help. The headache lessens..and the 'halo effect' vanishes.

May have just developed migraines tho.

Mytical, do your docs know about the memory issues? I'm hoping that it's new problem and not a chronic thing for you. I'm sorry you have to go through this.

I'd call your doctor and mention the halo effect. Changes in vision are not something to ignore.

For years I've had memory issues. Just not to this point. Mostly it was similar to ADD, I called it 'shiny things syndrome'. Ie easily distracted/minor focus problems/not great memory. I go the sixth to the specialist, and will let them know everything that is going on.

I've always been like this. When I was a kid my doctor told my mom that my brain was moving a thousand miles an hour, and my mouth couldn't keep. Neither could my hand when I was writing. It's like I get ahead of myself. It's a smart people thing.

Word association flubbles. Yeah, I have them to. I have to get the "br" sound out then start jumping around. Building build brush brag bright (br and a hard consonant in there) and finally get to the right word.

I have this all the time. I'll be trying to think of something that I know, and all I can manage is to talk about the "thing(s)" with lots of descriptives. As someone else mentioned, it's a smart person thing; you've got so much going on upstairs that the rest of the system just can't quite keep up.
