With just the tinest bit of help from ArticChicken, I managed to access my printer on my laptop from across the house. IT now allows me to be laz(ier), when it comes to work around the house since I can now be in the living room and print things off rather then transferring the files to my desktop and printing that way!

(Actually that wasn't the reason but it has turned out to be useful on those nights when I can't get to sleep ...)

I recently relearned the nuances of CUPS so I couldabusemake use of my wife's color ink attached to her new 'Mountain Lion' machine. It was considerably easier under 'Tiger' iirc. But kudos Sarlon, as that's a big plus to a home network, sharing peripherals.Comment
