I'm glad you and your co-worker are okay. Y'all live in NOLA and your owner should have the sense to at least have some security to protect not just you two and the other employees but also the company as well. As in cameras, an alarm system, emergency button or a security guard. Is your owner really that cheap to buy a decent security system or is the owner just plain dumb?

And I hate the whole "we'll put up security measures soon" - with soon being relative ugh.
My mother's roommate was jumped, mugged, and almost killed just a couple feet from my mom's apartment and they're still, "we'll put in cameras and more street lights soon"

How can a modern NOLA hotel even CONSIDER not having at least a security cam pointed at the front desk?! Especially in the city proper? (I live in the ...*ahem* general area)

I appreciate all the concern, and at this time, I have been working with the police to try to ID the guy. He has committed more crimes as of recently, and is escalating his choice of target. I worry someone might get hurt in his aggression. As to the camera situation, the owner has begun to make changes at the moment, like changes to the way he process cash and he has installed an E button. Cameras are apparently on the way, but he is looking for some bids because he is planning a rather extensive system, which is a good thing. I hate that he did not have the system in place, but the police caught a picture of him from another source. I am vague on purpose just in case. I hope all of you stay safe with your jobs as well and never let your guard down, and never be afraid, its not worth it.And unto the I offer the 11th commandment of god, that whomsover calleth "Shotgun" shall heretofore and forever lay claim to that seat......until you have to pee!!-your friendly neighborhood CrucibleComment
