    So apparentl since the Do you want to build a robot thing was really popular among the FIRST crowd first decided to have a parody contest...

        Robot building is pretty darned cool.

        I'm looking into getting my kiddo more involved in that sort of thing. I don't know if I'll have him programming microcontrollers or anything like that, yet...

            He's 10.

            I work with him a little on programming, though, and we did go to a "maker" event in 2015, that he seemed to enjoy. He was ecstatic that he got a Scientific calculator for his birthday last year, and very happy that he got a Graphing Calculator for Christmas last year.
