Default Debates and Controversial Subjects

Everyone will know that we have a solid block on divisive debates and controversial material. They happen from time to time despite this, and we have to run around stamping on fires.

In order to allow people to debate things like this, I've opened up a new forum on a different site. It's specifically for aspects such as this, and you can find it at www.fratching.com - feel free to go over and sign up now. WIC/EBT threads, 'should learn to speak English', and 'is spank child abuse?' type threads are the sort of things we have to stamp on here, but they are the meat and drink of that site.

If a topic gets hot over here, don't be overly surprised if a moderator closes the thread and offers you the chance to take it over there instead.

The basic system over there is that you can debate topics as long as you respect your fellow posters. There is no post count increment. The rules are far simpler, and we're going to adapt as circumstances require. Don't bring any dirt back from there on your shoes.
