Visitor parking is reserved for an event sponsored by the Presidents office today.
But...
The software that is used to change the open sign to full is not working.
So...
"Andrea", the director of parking & transportation, the university police chief *the parking staff reports to the university police chief*, & Juan from IT came up with a great
idea.
A big white sign stating Visitor parking is closed for a special event is blocking the entrance gate, which is about 50 feet from the air conditioned booth I sit in. I have to move it back & forth for everyone attending the event.
Since the people attending the event arrive at different times, I stay inside the air conditioned booth to keep cool. Then when someone for the event arrives, I have to leave the booth, move the sign out for them to enter, move the sign back in front of the entrance gate, & then go back into the air conditioned booth.
Luckily some of the customers moved the sign out so they could enter & then back in front of the entrance gate after entering. I thanked those customers.
