  • A fond farewell to Alan Rickman

Altenratively, "Oh no! Not him, too >_<"

Another who has passed on due to cancer, at age 69, in just a few days
    ...

    May he rest in peace.

I saw this show up on Facebook and at first assumed it was another celebrity death hoax. Once I poked around a bit more, I learned the truth. RIP Severus Snape.

I'm devastated. Rickman was one of my favorite actors.
"I look at the stars. It's a clear night and the Milky Way seems so near. That's where I'll be going soon. "We are all star stuff." I suddenly remember Delenn's line from Joe's script. Not a bad prospect. I am not afraid. In the meantime, let me close my eyes and sense the beauty around me. And take that breath under the dark sky full of stars. Breathe in. Breathe out. That's all."

I, too, had to poke my nose into places before it sunk in. He was an awesome actor.
Eh, one day I'll have something useful here. Until then, have a cookie or two.

He was the best Sheriff of Nottingham for all the Robin Hood concepts. He will be missed.
I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't get my head that far up my keister!

Agreed, but the animated Disney version sure gives him a run for his money.

So, as they say, terrible things happen in threes - I shudder to see who the third death this week will be =(
EVE Online: 99% of the time you sit around waiting for something to happen, but that 1% of action is what hooks people like crack, you don't get interviewed by the BBC for a WoW raid.

I am just...he's been in most of the movies I've liked over the years, and always played a character I liked watching. I am incredibly sad.

The early '70's version with the cast as animals?

Same here. I've always liked his performances. He was a fantastic actor.
I don't have an attitude problem. You have a perception problem.

What was his last movie? Was it Deathly Hallows, or was there anything more recent?
