This happened earlier in my shift. I think it's just about wrapped up.
SC comes to pay for another night of their room. Why they didn't do it earlier, I don't know, and really they should have. But I digress. The room is not on her name, just staying with the same group.
A few minutes later she calls down
SC: I'm being kicked out of the room. I'm gonna come down and get my money back.
Me: OK, but the room still needs to be paid for.
Just after she hung up, another person from the same room calls. And tells me not to return any money because it's theirs, and she only used the money to settle the room. SC comes down and I inform her of this. She threatens to call the cops. I agree with her that it would be the best course of action.
She yells at me some more tells me to give back her money. Demands to talk to a supervisor. I disincline to acquiesce to the request. SC walks away.
She wanders back into the lobby and is on her phone.
SC: Yes, I need an officer at Hotel at Street and Avenue
She gets off the phone and yells at me some more more emphatic that it was her money out of her pocket. And that I'm stealing, and how I'm going down so I better give her back her money. I only suggest we wait until the officer to get her so he can help us sort this out.
She goes back to the room. Both her and the other guests in the room come back down and say the situation's taken care of.
And the cops still haven't arrived.
