    York is gorgeous.
Yes it is *coughI'malocalcough* I really love my city it is beautiful. York has the largest Gothic Catheral in Northern Europe and if history is your thing we have lots of it!

The Pacific Northwest, particularly the coast, in the summer.

Edinburgh. VERY friendly people. Come to think of it, all of Scotland would be a good idea, though I haven't seen the whole country yet.
Seconded! Orcas is my favorite island - my sis got married there (the first time) and got proposed to at Auther's Seat (Edinburgh) for her second (married in Vermont).

I actually had several honeymoon clients that after first deposit switched their trip to an elopment / honeymoon instead.

Good places to get married / have a honeymoon:
Mexico - Zihuatanejo is my fave, but there are more "romantic" towns depending on your interests.
Costa Rica - I'd recommend using a tour company that includes rides to the various destinations - if interested I'll explain further.
Vermont is a classic wedding destination - but most places are booked a year ahead of time.
Hawaii - your interests would determine the best island for you, but Maui is popular for weddings.

Personally, if I ever get married again I've decided on Fiji. The warriors come "kidnap" the bride and bring her to the ceremony. Plus, it is FIJI!
If the budget doesn't permit Fiji, the Cook Islands are less expensive and fantastic as well.

New Zealand. Beaches, mountains, weird animals, volcanic activity....and you could see where Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit were filmed....Just a gorgeous place.
When you start at zero, everything's progress.

I would choose either Disney World or Greece. Disney World because I love Disney and I'm the only one in my family that has never been. Greece because it's my favorite time in history and I've always had a fascination with the area. I'd love to see it for real.

Jejudo, South Korea, is known as the "honeymoon" island. I didn't get to go to the beaches, but there are plenty of fun things to do there. There's a sex themed museum we didn't get to visit if you're into that kind of thing. There are some great natural wonders to see, a fantastic garden "The Thinking Garden", tea farms, and the local food is fantastic.

I went there last summer. It's the rainy season in summer, but we only had grey skies and drizzle, not much real rain.
They say that God only gives us what we can handle. Apparently, God thinks I'm a bad ass.

I loved Japan and Germany. Italy was a good trip I'm not super-interested in going back.

Iceland is our next destination but it may be awhile, until the kid is old enough to travel so far for a couple weeks.

I would love to see Tasmania too- I'd be one of the idiot tourists skulking about the forests (when I have clue how to survive in the woods), looking for thylacines.

I'd love to go visit to to Ireland and Scotland. I'd love to go to hong kong again (last time was 33 years ago) bu I warn you it gets very muggy in the summer. (one of the few memories of it. I was 5 when I was there).

In Australia Queensland is good, you got sun, sand and the reef.

Melbourne is great for sports, shopping and eating. gettin' out of Melbourne you have great drives like the great ocean road which is one of the best ocean drives in the world, get out to Philip island and see the little penguins (no matter what they say they are still fairy penguins to me ) or out to port fairy for a nice sleepy fishing village (but it isn't very sleepy in early March when it holds a folk music festival)

For North America, I've been to Souther Ca. I've been to Disney Land, which was nice, but I found So. Ca. so deserty. I've been to Tijuana, which wasn't bad except tons of people were telling us, "there are bad places there, you could get kidnapped!"
I've been to Las Vegas. A quiant tacky, and that's not including the Liberace Museum. But I had a blast there and didn't have to gamble.
I've been to Washington DC (my most recent trip I've took). I like the history, the museums, subway was ok. And other cities are close by if you want to travel.
I've been to New Orleans 2x. Food's good, you can get drunk at any time (I don't drink), a lot of walking if you want to take a ghost tour at night or a cemetary tour during the day.

I've been to Hawaii. Fucking expensive (gas, food) but so beautiful. I"ve been to Oahu, Kauai, Maui, and the Big Island. I liked Oahu better.

I've been to Colombia. Really depressing-so many poor people that you want to help them when they are asking for money but you know you get crowded if you give one person money. And trips take a long time. Going from Bogota to Cali by bus takes 12 hours, but that's because there is a mountain range in the way.

I've been to Europe. The best stay I had was in Spain, mostly because my mom speaks Spanish so we could communicate. I understand it's the cheapest European country (or cheapest western European country) and the food was good and I enjoyed the museums.

I like Italy and France but found the people rude in both countries.
I've been to Greece and I found it depressing how deforested it was. Since most of it's heritage has been shipped out (ie, Elgin marbles shipped to the British Museum), and stuff is in ruin, kind of depressing. Went on a tour of the Greek Islands but most excursions start at 6am. Screw that.

I liked England, though I mostly spent time in London. That was nice, I liked the things I could recognize, like the Tower of London and Westminster Abbey.

I"ve been to Isreal. If you go there hoping to see the things Jesus did, you might be disapointed. Things look really old but they might not even date back 500 years ago. Food was lousy. Not talking about Kosher food, which I'm not usedto, but if I went to eat chicken, the chicken is so tiny. I didn't like the food. And a lot of people asking for money. And I got robbed there-pickpocket style.

In TExas, where I live, I can't figure out why anyone wants to visit Houston. There's the Space Center Houston. It's really a fucking big city. Not as big as Bogota, but fucking pain in the ass to drive around it. I like Austin. It's hilly, it's a college town but also the state capitol, but it's a fun place. It's small enough where you won't feel overwhelmed. I've been to San Antonio. It's nice, big but not overwhelming. I went on a Mission tour, that was nice, and there's the River tour, which is nice. I've been to Corpus Christi. Small town, has the aircraft carrier Lexington. I don't see much use to it. I've been South Padre Island, Tx's answer to Fort Lauderdale. It's a long and narrow island, mostly for college students who want to get wasted. Close to Mexico. San Marcos is close to San Antonio and Austin. It's known for it's river (with tubing) and that German influence.

I liked Spain best of Europe, though again it's because I was able to communicate with the people, Hawaii is so beautiful and peaceful I didn't want to leave, I would like to visit Austin more often, and Las Vegas is very enjoyable.

Time! Time! Time is what turns kittens into cats.

Don't teach me a lesson; all I learn is that you are an asshole.

                  I wish porn had subtitles.
