So, I got my performance review.
I had come in an hour early and taken a 2-hour lunch in order to go to a Good Friday service at my church (which is rather emotionally draining on its own), and had dashed back afterwards, without even taking time to grab lunch. I walk to my desk, and there's a note from Boss asking me to see her ASAP.
CRAP.
Turns out she just wanted to go over my performance review. NOT fun, after a long intense church service, but hey, not that big a deal.
It was pretty fair actually--all the thing my boss says I need to work on are, in fact, things I need to work on: communication, stress management, etc. Boss is generally pretty good about trying to actually work with me on things, so I think we can improve some stuff over the next year.
I was also told to get out and socialize around the office more... Yeah, in what spare time? I mean, seriously?? Ok, fine, whatever, I'll figure something out.
But I ended up getting a 4% raise, so that's pretty cool!
