GAH! That's such an example of so many restaurant websites. It sums up my frustrations perfectly.
I'm responsible for building/updating our lobby concierge book, which has an extensive directory of restaurants, so I've gone to pretty much every local restaurant's site. I just want contact info, a price range (or menu with prices), and maybe some tidbits that make that restaurant stand out. If I'm going to actually visit the restaurant, a menu is very helpful since I like to plan what I want beforehand. More often than not, the info I want is deeply buried or completely nonexistent.Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
