I've got a couple of good masks made by my BiL, but I'd like to find a source for more masks with cross-straps or ties that can go around back. As opposed to ear-loops, which do not want to share space with my hearing aids, and all the disposable masks have them...

My front-end manager, who didn't say "Boo" to him, so I got to hear him drop a "Nice mask...!" crack as he walked out the door
And yet people keep complaining how as soon as we start getting the numbers down... They pop right back up

This is where I got my masks. I got them awhile back, so I don't know what their lead time is like now, but I got mine a little later than they said I would. They're awesome though and have been holding up well.

I use the grommets and elastic method on this tutorial and converted my old ear loopy masks because my ear elastics kept getting caught in my glasses. Having the elastic go round your head in two loops is also good for removing the mask temporarily without risking it dangling off the one ear or getting contaminated - just take off the one head strap and it'll hang safely round your neck until needed again, no need to even touch it. If you have fine hair like me you will get mask hair with a random kink in it though ;p

In their earlier post they also show how to make a foam support to go under your fabric mask so the material doesn't touch your mouth, if anyone finds that real pain in the proverbial.

              Did someone mention random kinks?

I went to a thrift shop recently. Old man didn't have a mask on so manager goes up to him and tells him he needs to put on a mask. Old man doesn't put on mask. Manager offers a mask and goes to get one. Old man doesn't move. I left before I saw the manager come back.

Also, saw fur masks, though they seem more like novelty items, since they don't fit on the face like normal mask should.

Perhaps they weren't designed to be worn on the face?

I thought my job was enforcing the masks, but apparently not. I don't normally go in -- I've been working from home ever since this whole mess began, but the fitness center at my job was giving out duffel bags, and you had to go in during regular hours to get them. The first thing I saw was an idiot with a chin strap chatting with a couple of the security guards, who either believed the guy breathes through his chin, or simply didn't give a shit. Then I saw some twit in the hallway with her nose sticking out. And finally, when I went into the office where they kept the bags, there were two people in there and neither one was wearing a mask.

If they bring us back to the office while masks are still (supposedly) required, I better not ever get yelled at if I forget to pull my mask up when I come inside.

I don't like wearing masks...but I do it anyway. Got a compliment on my home-sewn one today. I made it out of some fabric remnants. It gets the job done.

Mouse, this is where I got my headstrap masks after discovering that my favorite stage-gear site no longer makes their version. They're cotton, washable (handwash only) and have a filter pocket.

They don't have a ton of prints in the headstrap type, but I also got some fun ear-loop ones and am trying to figure out if the elastic can be altered; it's certainly long enough. I've gotten a zillion compliments on them.
