Movies add up quickly-- porn or not.
Google sez about 5 gb is a 2 hour movie.
    eleven, twelve movies then.
Only if it's high def. At standard def, 5 GB is about seven 2 hour movies. So that's about 77 to 80 movies.

Hmm... I wonder why he's so nervous about sending his computer in to get it repaired... probably something to do with what kind of porn he has on his computer...

Sounds like someone has an entire drive full of kiddie pron. No wonder he didn't want anyone to see it

Closer to home, I know a guy who got busted for that sort of thing. He was an exchange student, and decided to keep up his disgusting hobby while in college. Too bad that he forgot about it when his computer failed, and he took it in for service. Last I heard, he got deported.
Wouldn't surprise me if that was the case with this SC and if it was, would be a must like the shiny bracelets and a ride to the graybar motel for him.

I accidentally ran into a student's porn collection today.

I checked his My Videos folder, to if there was anything in there to save... There was. Sigh.
I think it's so funny how people deny that they surf for porn on their computers or have a collection of porn but yet I see a big ass folder full of it on their computer or a long history of it on their browser (s). Sure I believe ya....like I believe in the tooth fairy. Dumbass.

I do remember hearing a story (from a friend who worked as a computer repair dude) about someone having smoke coming out of his computer DEMANDING a software patch to fix it. The guy wouldn't accept the idea that smoke = something physically wrong. He eventually was put in contact with the manufacturer, where they finally convinced him to take his machine in for repair.

I inadvertently got someone's kid in trouble that way a few years ago, when I was fixing a computer. It belonged to a close friend, close enough that I was willing to come to her house and fix it for nothing (but she did keep a steady flow of beer coming.)

After I ran a few scans, it seemed to be running a lot better, but just to be sure, I ran a boot-level scan. It revealed something all the other ones missed -- an executable called "View porn movies." It was in an account called "DJ." I asked who DJ was, and this girl who was staying with my friend told me it was her 15-year-old son.

I told her, "I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but I found this in his account."

She came over and looked, and her eyes got as big as saucers, and she proclaimed loudly, "I'm gonna kill him!"

I wouldn't have wanted to be in his shoes.

Oh, no, you didn't get him in trouble; he got himself in trouble.

At one time I watched Hentai, but don't even bother with that anymore. No porn for me. I can not even fathom 55gb of porn. How...why....what...?
On the bright side, anyone with that much porn isn't going to reproduce anytime soon.

"My car's making this funny grinding noise, and every time I brake, there's this high-pitched squeak that just keeps going and going and going. I think I need gas."

If you think that's bad, I had a friend ('had' being the operative word, but for an unrelated reason) who assumed that everything that goes wrong with a computer can be fixed by taking it apart and cleaning the parts inside. The last time he told me about it, he said his computer was running too slow and he'd already removed his hard drive. I asked him why he didn't just clear his history and defrag his hard drive, and the only thing he could say was 'uhhhhh...'

I actually heard about some report that found that sexually active couples actually consume more pornography, on average, than those who aren't getting any.

I can't really search for it at work, though. My work may be pretty liberal about what people do online, but there's just no way to search this type of topic that won't cross a line somewhere.

I love and hate that line Half the time they aren't even lawyers aside from watching too much L&O and People's Court. It's one of those lines SC's use like the "I'm going to contact your corporate office!" thinking it's gonna scare us into action.

and even then being a lawyer doesn't qualify themselves to know how their issue has to be handled.

That, and I seem to recall a comment on these board from some time back, stating that most *actual* lawyers -a- prefer to use the term "attorney" in public, and -b- are very, *very* unlikely to make such a threat unless they know that they can make it stick. My experience with them, however brief, seems to back this up: Most will not use their profession as a blunt object of intimidation.

That reminds me... the other day, I went to check someone's ID for beer buying, and he opens up his wallet, and I see an ever so sudden polished bronze star on the other flap...
