You offered the use of my truck to a cw?!?!?!

I have a friend, name of Tonystupidassshithead. Sometiems he borrows my truck, and I let him since he was a good friend (and is my tech support). He does have a habit of never putting gas in my truck; one time he got angry with me for having only a gallon of gas in it when I delivered it to him.

This happened today; chat through facebook:


Tonystupidassshithead: Can I borrow your truck on September 15th?.

me: where you are going?.

Tonystupidassshithead: Helping Maryana move.

me: and?

Tonystupidassshithead: Well..she does host all the games and stuff. It's only one trip and it's in the same general area. Was going to let you use my car if you need to goto work..

me: did you tell her I had a truck?.

Tonystupidassshithead: I said imy friend has a truck.

me: I pay $5 each time. This is what I hate, you don't ask me before you tell people yes. Like that time you told your coworker we were going to his wedding when you didn't ask me before hand.

Tonystupidassshithead: Ok then I'll tell her I can't get itShe was going to hire movers anyway...you know how I am. I talk before I think sometmes


NOte, we go to Maryanna house 1x a week for M:tG. And she isn't moving close to me. REally, I hope I hit him hard enough with the clue-by-four.

I have a truck, and I don't mind being the friend with the truck. However, there is only one person who can promise my truck to anyone: me. If any of my friends dared to promise my truck to someone, they'd have a problem, as I don't loan my truck out. If any of my friends dared to promise my truck AND ME to someone, they'd have a problem as well, as I there are exactly two people on this planet who can tell me what to do. One of them is me. The other one I call Mom.

If you don't need a truck for regular day to day stuff, it's cheaper to just rent one for the few times when it's useful with the money saved on gas and maintenance.

I have a car too, but I love my truck (trying to sell the car now).

For 4th of July my aunt wanted to do a bbq. I offered my pit, which I needed my truck for. But I hardly use the back of it, except for the times I have to take my lawnmower in. But I rather not depend on anyone with a truck or try to rent a truck when who knows one is available.

In fact about 2 weeks ago Tonystupidassshithead mentioned that Maryana was moving and I was thinking about offering her my truck. But I hardly know her (though she is really nice, and she has cats), and my truck does get dinged when people use it to haul beds or furniture. Unless it was an emergency (like person she is living with is beating the crap out of her and it's past 10pm and she is moving her shit now)...heck, I don't know even then, seems like she has plenty of friends.

I have the opposite problem. My tiny little Aveo is amazing on gas so people constantly want to borrow it for long hauls. I LOVE having the "No your wardrobe is not going to bit in the back of my hatchback, even if we do put down the seats" conversation. Still my family loves to offer my car to others to be used at their leisure.

The extra frustrating thing is that while my brother owns a truck and my father owns a van they insist on making all treats to my apartment in my aveo. (Which they made me leave at home because I don't need a car in the city and a parking spot would just make my rent higher.) For the most part this is fine, but when they moved me in at the end of April they chose to take a moving van and my Aveo. They only had the moving van until 8pm, and it had to be returned to my home town which is 3 to 3.5 hours away. So all the luggage and storage container and packing boxes were left in my apartment because there wasn't enough room in my Aveo to bring it home. Eventually I was able to systematically clear all the debris out of my flat. It would have taken ONE run in the van or the truck. It took a lot more than that with the Aveo.

Also, it's my car. It bugs the hell out of my that they drive it when I'm not around. especially to make a 700km round trip drive. I love that my brother visits me once or twice a month, I do not love what it does to the mileage on my car.

"Yes, this is my truck. No, I won't help you move".

. Maryana provides her apt. and pizza, chips, soda and sometimes salad for the Magic: the gathering games. Each person pays $5.

I just remembered something that happened at work.

New Years day of either 2000 or 2001, a friend of cw1 needed to move in with cw1, so cw2 volunteered his friend, G's, truck (or maybe G volunteered, don't know but I can guess). They didn't ask to borrow my truck.

About a year latter cw 3 needed to bring a rug to work for the teen area. Cw2 says, "I know someone with a truck!" and then looks at me. I said, "YOu mean G."
