Me: Oh, you looked online? Ok, tell me what did it say under status.
note: under status it should show "check shelf", "missing", "due xx-xx-xxxx", "in transit" or "on hold shelf". This will save time to know if it's available or not.
SC: It says Central Fiction.
Me: Ok, that is under "location." Let me check on the status. Could you give me title and author?
SC: It's Dream River. Do you need the author?
Me: Yeth.
I get the author from her and look it up.
Me: Ok, we have a copy here at Central. Do you want to pick it up at Central now?
SC: No, I want it sent to the Brown library.
Me: Ok, I can do that for you now. I can also tell you how to request a book to be sent to another library for pick-up.
SC: Can you send the book to Brown for me?
Me: Yes, I said I can do that for you. I can also tell you how you can save time by putting it on hold and have it sent to another branch.
SC: Ok,
I tell her how. It's simple.
Me: Ok, I need you last name and library card.
SC: My name is Joahn Jonson (I'm making it up) but I don't have my library card.
So I told her to call back with the card number. There is a way to send it without the card number or looking up her info. but I don't trust it.
