  • In Praise of my Physiotheraphist

I suffer from tension headache, the bane of all desk workers. Once in a while it gets so bad that my usual tricks don't work anymore. Then it's time for physiotherapy!

And now I've found the best physiotherapist ever! Yeah it hurts, but it really helps!
    Me: *grunt*
    She: I'm not pressing strongly
    Me: *grunt*
    She: Don't forget to breathe
    Me: *gasp* *grunt*

Years worth of knotted up muscles take some time to give up their tension.

A good physiotheraphist is worth her weigth in gold, and mine is very good.

Sounds a lot like working with (suffering under?) my myotherapist. But therapeutic massage is a godsend.
    Seshat's self-help guide:
    1. Would you rather be right, or get the result you want?
    2. If you're consistently getting results you don't want, change what you do.
    3. Deal with the situation you have now, however it occurred.
    4. Accept the consequences of your decisions.

During the session it sure is suffering! And afterwards the muscles complain about being forced to behave normaly. But you can feel it helps.

I can actually shrug my shoulders again!

It definitely helps. It just hurts during the sessions .. and sometimes for a day or two afterwards.
