    Applicants who order wine during a restaurant interview seen as "less hireable."

    The applicants in question were ordering the HOUSE MERLOT. If I'm ordering wine at an interview, first of all it better be after 4PM, secondly, it is likely to be an inexpensive but interesting wine. But then again, I'm actually in the business, so it's somewhat expected.

    maybe it's cos they ordered the house merlot

    i wonder what would happen if they'd ordered something better?



    though i think the study is skewed somewhat. it only lists the possible choices as "soft drink" or "house wine".

    so it's very likely that the issue was that the applicant was consuming ANY alcohol during an interview

      I would never drink during an interview. I don't care if its in a bar, I would not drink. Afterwards, however, I'd double fist my way to heaven.
