Yes! Our auctionhouse definitely allows you to bid 'by paper'. In that case the auctioneer bids in your name. You have to sign a release and everything. I even mentioned it to the customer and my manager tried to set this up for him at the last minute. But he refused, saying that he didn't trust us.
And yes, during the argument the painting was sold to someone else. It was a god-awful ugly piece too.Comment
