Because it goes on that person's record, and sets a precident for future punishments. Also, there is no guarantee that she'll be one of the ones kicked for overcrowding. Can you honestly see her getting time for good behaviour? She's there on a probation violation, right? They'd be more likely to kick the people there on a first DUI or such.

You know, I thought that maybe her whole dumb-blonde party-girl thing might just have been a publicity image....but this proves to me that she really is that stupid.

          Paris is traumatized!

          http://tv.yahoo.com/news/article/urn...s_hilton__ER:1

Oh no! The fact that she's been sentenced to 45 days in jail is so harsh and mind-boggling to her that she's traumatized.

Latest News on the "Paris Situation"

            http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070517/...e_paris_hilton

She'll be serving only 23 days and she'll be kept away from the general population. So does that mean she'll be in solitary for 23 days?

No, unfortunately not. With any luck though, she'll get someone about as spoiled as her, 'cause that'd be funny

Hilton will stay in a unit that contains 12 two-person cells reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates, he said.

Yeah, I guess I didn't read the article. Just saw the headline. My bad.

Solitary would have been fun for her. She could have talked about herself to herself for hours at a time, and no one would have been bored.

Wonder if this will set her straight though. NAH!!!!!!!

US Weekly doesn't mention Paris at. all!!!!

                  http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070627/...ris_hilton_ban

US Weekly believes that the American Public has gone into "Paris fatigue" and will not have any mention of her at. all. in their magazine due out on Friday.

What do ya'll think? I think it's interesting, I might even buy the magazine. They're right, I do have"Paris fatigue".

You know, if they REALLY thought that, they'd not be advertising the newest issue as "Paris Free!!!!"

They'd simply put out the issue and people wouldn't even notice the lack. Instead, they're hoping for the "news" of "100% Paris Free" to drive sales from people protesting the amount of coverage she gets. It's a great sales strategy! "Protest the fame of your least favourite celebrity by buying the magazine that refuses to increase her noteriety!"

Of course, you're right Broom! What was I thinking? *slaps forehead*

My only excuse is that hubby woke me up while trying to "quietly" get dressed this morning. Sheesh.
