    • I too have received a card from the fictional land, north of the border. The sender claims to be Pix. Dare I believe?

Fortunately they did not tell the post office, since you have been receiving our cards.

                            • Mine have been sitting here, ready to go for several weeks, but life has not cooperated to get the postage for them and mail them off.
There are only two postal outlets in my little town and they are both at the only two drugstores we have. Only one of them is it within walking distance for me.
I went to the closest postal outlet to get the stamps but there was a lineup. I stood in line wearing my mask for close to 20 minutes and I hadn’t moved anywhere. There was a lady at the counter who had a huge mailing to do and every package had to be measured and weighed to get the correct postage. The line started to move when she was finished and I moved about 3 feet, but the third customer up was an old lady who monopolized all the time reminiscing about when the post office used to be in the basement of this drugstore when she first moved to town. (The basement hasn’t been used since renovations in the early 90’s.)
Anyway, I was wearing my coat and it was so hot. My back was in agony from standing in one spot for so long. I was feeling claustrophobic because of the mask and I wanted to rip it off. I checked the time and I had to be back at my daughters to look after my granddaughters so she can go to work. She had probably less than 10 minutes to get to work at that point so I couldn’t wait any longer. I left and I have not been able to get back since. I am fairly housebound because of COVID restrictions. I haven’t been going anywhere.
I also fell in the tub on Christmas Eve, and that limited my ability to walk very far.
I am in the process of moving into a new place with my daughter because my health is declining to the point that I’ve had to take disability.
I am really hoping I can finally get everything finished up this weekend because Friday is my moving day I will be out and about for the first time since well before Christmas. My plan is to go to the postal outlet and finally get my stamps.
                              I apologize yet again.
I guess it was too much to hope that I could finally get back on track with the card exchange.
I have enjoyed all the cards I received. They really lifted my spirits this year.
Too tired of living and too tired to end it. What a conundrum.
