I've even had some more fervent religious folk more or less refer to me as a tool of the devil for stating that, possible, their gas might get shut off. Huh...
I had one "believer" tell me that she "hoped I would be seeing my god soon" because I wouldn't waive a security deposit so she could get her gas back on. I had only been on the phones for about a month at that time, and her comment really bothered me. Now I just laugh when they say something that's meant to be hurtful...Keeps me sane that way.

and a day pass to the water pool and a free night at a fabulous roadside motel in the 867 area code where he can enjoy mini stupid cakes or a bowl of Sucky Charms as part of the Continental Breakfast.
Ooh yes! And, you get to lick doritos cheese from the underside of a truck.

About the post title, a Priest can't have an off or bad day? Equating a religious position with always having to be polite would be like telling retail workers they always have to be polite.
If he were an elderly man getting behind the tv might really have been an issue for him.

Um.... I'm not real religious or anything, but shouldn't being a member of the clergy mean a lot more than being a member of the local union?

I'd like to think that religious officials were "working" their beliefs and not just "holding down a job" that they put down when they leave the building.

Er, priests are people too. It also depends - not every religious person has a rainbows and puppy dogs approach to life. Try listening to a hellfire and brimstone preacher and then compare to - for example - a methodist preacher.

Try and compare these to the thuggee - a quasi religious sect following Kali.
