Michael Chamberlain, the New Zealand born minister whose infant daughter, Azaria Chamberlain died as the result of a dingo attack, has passed away at age 72.
His wife, Lindy Chamberlain, was exonerated back in the late 80's after a subsequent investigation revealed that was a dingo that took their baby while the family was vacationing at Uluru in Australia's North Territory in 1982 (she had been initial charged in the baby's death and Michael had been charged as an accessory after the fact.)
A film was made on the case, A Cry In The Dark, that starred Meryl Streep and Sam Neil.
