Well, poo.
Just back from the registrar and he's doing tests for two other things. One's possible heart damage, so ultrasound and the jelly on the chest time (I usually pay extra for that!). The other is a blood test for thyrotoxicosis. He said that he couldn't recommend cardioversion until he'd ruled those out, since if there's damage it could be awkward and would be a different treatment option, and if it's the thyroid condition then that would need treating to bring it back into line, hopefully.
That's fine and it means options are covered. However, he also said he didn't want to see me back for four or five months.
