Anybody here play Star Wars Galaxy of Heroes?

My iPad (brand-new one; just got it at Christmas) ran out of power so it went completely dead. It's now recharged, but the stupid game won't load ... it's stuck at "Checking for Updates."

I should add that when I first tried to open it, I got a small window saying "There is a new client available" with a green "OK" button. No option to ignore it. I hit the green button and it takes me to the Apple store, with the window for the game and a button to "Open" it. When I hit "Open" ... it gets hung up.

Should I delete and reinstall it, or what?

Ugh. And I was up to Level 40, too.
